Nursery Room

This space is carefully arranged to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for babies who are not yet mobile or are in the early stages of mobility. The nursery typically includes soft and comfortable furnishings, age-appropriate toys, and equipment designed for sensory stimulation and exploration. It features cots for nap times, as well as dedicated areas for feeding and nappy changing.

Kindergarten Room

We offer a variety of indoor experiences with specific resources for children to use, explore and extend their imagination and learning. Our outdoor environment provides opportunities for exploration, spontaneous play and to connect to the natural world.  We have implemented a school readiness program for our four-year-old children to make the transition process from kindergarten to school an easier one.

DACCC is committed to providing a curriculum incorporating the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. We use the Frameworks to identify learning outcomes for the children and the principles and practices that form the basis of our work. The framework describes childhood as a time of Belonging, Being and Becoming.

Belonging is the basis for living a fulfilling life. Children feel they belong because of the relationships they have with their family, community, culture, and place.

Being is about living here and now. Childhood is a special time in life and children need time to just 'be', time to play, try new things and have fun.

Becoming is about the learning and development that young children experience. Children start to form their sense of identity at an early age, which shapes the type of adult they will become.

To complement our learning program, we have incursions and excursions throughout the year. Each year, the events are evaluated and changed depending on the program. All our Specialist Programs are included in our fees so there are no additional costs.

Musical Minds

We provided a music program through out the year presented by Musical Minds. Children learn the value of cooperating and appreciating one another's contributions through group musical activities. Understanding rhythm and patterns is a key component of learning music, and mastering these concepts can help with the development of mathematical abilities. A comprehensive approach to education is provided by incorporating a dedicated music program into their daily schedule, which promotes the development of both cognitive and emotional skills.

Both 3 and 4 year-old kindergarten are incorporated into the long daycare service at DACCC. There are no additional fees for the kindergarten programs that we provided.
We apply the Free Kinder offset payment to families from Term 1 each year.
This subsidy will not impact your CCS payments.

DACCC acknowledges the Wurundjeri people as Traditional owners of the land our centre is located.
We pay respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
